Singapore, Singapore

Singapore is a city welcoming to tourists and Expats, despite tight police control that extends to outlawing bubble gum and a mandatory death penalty for drug dealing.

Despite the tight police presence, a riot broke out in the migrant workers district in Little India in 2013. The Singaporeans in the district viewed the controls over the migrant workers before the riots as lax, but it's obvious to those who live in the area that there is significant tensions between the locals and the migrants. These tensions exploded the night of the riot- broken up within hours by the riot police and dealt with afterword by the dissapearances of those charged in starting the riots and the "repatriating" of 59 others taking part.

The Staits Times, owned by the megacorporation that owns all Singapore major media and is, in turn, owned by the government only says those charged in the riots were "Dealt with" ,avoiding specifics.
